Moe’s Home Collection promotes Li to VP of supply chain

“It’s a hard situation and the current conditions are not expected to change within the first quarter of 2021, although myself and my team remain hopeful as we continue to adapt to these significant changes and project for further disruptions,” Li said. “We constantly shift as every day comes with different news. There are many factors at play here as to why freight prices remain extremely elevated, costing thousands more in premiums and surcharges, like delays, congestion, man and equipment shortages, etc. But, as the demand we saw in Q3 and Q4 2020 eases out, the balance between import and export will be restored come Q2 2021.”

Adapting to these new standards will remain a cross-industry challenge, but Moe’s officials are confident that the reality of volatility is being accommodated as best it can with Li at the helm. Pivoting his role from warehouse, operations and director of logistics and customer experience, Li will now focus his attention to the upper stream of the supply chain from origins — China, Vietnam and India — straight to point of consumption. He will be delegating more of his time towards overseeing Moe’s Asia office, ocean logistics and the company’s quality control teams.

“Joey has now been with Moe’s for 3.5 years and during this tenure has led our warehouse and operational departments during a time of significant growth,” said Moe Samieian Jr., co-CEO of Moe’s. “He has consistently taken on additional responsibilities since his start and we are greatly looking forward to continuously improving our areas of business with Joey’s leadership.”

Li will administer the company’s supply chain strategy, objectives, improve supply chain security and continue to deliver sustainable results. With his depth and industry experience in operations management, his focus for 2021 will be on supply chain quality, driving for more excellence in reliability and quality from suppliers and to build flexible systems that improve and help his departments stay on track.
